Investment Property
Property investment is a great way to build wealth and secure your future. But it’s important to get it right from the outset. We look beyond what you can afford to borrow to ensure that the decisions you make are in your best interests.
We’re here to make moving house easy
Investing in property is a long-term commitment that has the potential to bring your dreams to life, but it can also result in losses if the wrong decisions are made.
Whether you’re looking to buy your first rental or expand your existing portfolio, we can help you make the right decisions and secure lending that best fits your situation.
Before starting any loan application, we run the numbers and ask a range of questions to ensure that your investment strategy and considerations are financially sound, and that it’s a risk worth taking.
Our commitment is to you first and foremost, and we’re here to help for the life of your loan.
Things to look out for when buying property
The property market is constantly changing and evolving. We live and breathe property, and we can provide sound advice to help guide you through your next investment purchase.
Here are some tips to keep in mind when preparing to invest:
Look for the right location: your property should be in an area where it is likely to be well-tenanted and/or experience healthy capital gains.
Investigate the nearby infrastructure: look for a property that is surrounded by good roads and public transport, schools, shops, cafes and restaurants, and recreational facilities.
Select the right style of property: you want to buy an asset that’s always in high demand. Target houses that suit the sort of people who live in the area, or one that can be renovated to meet their needs with minimal extra cost.
Identify value-add opportunities: a common strategy is to buy properties that can be renovated, subdivided, extended or improved in some way. Look for ways to generate extra capital gains.
Do your research: good research is the best way to find a bargain. Look for things like planned developments, upgrades to main streets and shopping districts, rezoning opportunities, and gentrification potential.
Seek advice from professionals: building a quality network of experts such as real estate agents, accountants, lawyers, mortgage brokers, and property managers not only makes investing easier - it also ensures that you have access to the right advice and services when you need it.
